ALLOTMENT holders meet tonight to fight a plan for a golf course extension.
The Billesley Lane Allotments Society is furious about Moseley golf club's plan to extend its land by the junction of Southlands Road and Billesley Lane. The club leases out the land to Birmingham City Council, which lets it to the gardeners.
But the club has told the council it does not wish to extend the lease and has submitted a plan to extend the course. The allotment holders are backed by the council which is keen to encourage allotment use. The meeting is tonight at St Agnes Church Hall at 7pm.
